So you don’t have to do anything more when you install the Facebook pixel on CMS like Shopify, Wix, Magento or even on WooCommerce. If you are on WordPress and you have installed the Facebook pixel with Pixel Caffeine, you can configure your own standard events without touching the code. Let me show you. Go to the extension’s home page and go to the “Conversions / Events” section. You can see here the events that I have already configured. When you scroll down, you have the option to add a new conversion. First give it a name. Choose the trigger: Visit the page Click on a link / button If you choose the “Page visit” option, simply enter the URL where you want to add a standard event.
What is a conversion? In digital marketing parlance, a conversion can mean a lot of things, it could be: A purchase An addition to the basket A lead (person who fills out a form and gives you their contact information) A subscription to Macau Email List your newsletter or an online conference. Etc. Thanks to the pixel, Facebook can know when a person arrives on the page in question or clicks a button and count a conversion if necessary. For example, Facebook will count that you have a new subscriber to your Newsletter when a visitor to your website sees your Thank You page (since this is the page that indicates the conversion). Retargeting Since Facebook can track who has visited your website and find them on its platform, you can show an advertisement to people who have visited your website.
The code for your Facebook
To install your Facebook pixel, go to the home screen of your Event Manager. Click on the “Continue pixel configuration” button. You should again see the connection mode selection. Select “Facebook Pixel”. You should then see this small window appear. Facebook offers 3 solutions: Manual installation Send instructions by email Use a partner Let’s explore these 3 solutions. Solution # 1: Install the pixel code manually (not recommended) The first solution is to install the code manually, i.e. copy and paste the code in the head tags of the pages of your website , and this on all the pages to be able to have an efficient tracking. This solution is no longer recommended by Facebook at all because there are now partners that allow you to integrate your Facebook pixel on almost all CMS and e-commerce platforms (I’ll get to that in a moment).
With Pixel Caffeine (WordPress plugin), you can see quite easily if your pixel is installed well. You can also install the Facebook Pixel Helper extension on Google Chrome. This is an extension of Facebook that allows you to see on any site (including yours) if a Facebook pixel is installed. Once the extension is installed, you will see in your browser at the top right the small icon of the extension. Click on it and the extension will tell you if your pixel is working.
