Learn from the best How much time do you spend each day training yourself and learning new things? If I exclude all the time I am working, I spend about an hour and a half a day learning new skills. Often, I will seek this knowledge in trainings and books. For example, this year I read a lot about organization, management, leadership and sales. Areas where I found that I really needed to improve because I have to do it in the course of my job. Every year, I prepare a list of the courses I want to take and the books I want to read. So there is a chance that what I just told you, you are already doing it. If so, you can be proud of yourself because it sets you apart from 99% of the people on this planet.
Who have a “static” mindset in the sense that they forget that they can still learn things. by themselves. But for me, if you want to go further, you have to learn from the best and therefore you have to have mentors . It can be virtual mentors or mentors that you will really interact with. The virtual mentors , these are people that you will find online . During the first two of my activity, they represented the success I wanted to achieve. They have indeed achieved what I want to achieve. It makes so much sense when you think about it, but if you want to be successful at what you do, you have to follow in the footsteps of people who have already experienced the same success as the one you want to be. It has been almost 4 years now that I am continuously training and following the journey of these mentors for myself to progress and go faster. Besides, we can see it. There are people who advance very quickly in their business. And it is either because they already have the experience or they are well surrounded. They have the right mentors to help them go faster. These people, you will meet them mainly on social media or through your network. Some are very open and always happy to help, so you will be able to approach them and bring them value. You can also join their paid programs or support they can offer. Anyway, that’s what I try to do by making contact with people I admire and respect so they can teach me things. I end up buying their programs, taking their advice and letting them know. This is what I did with Antoine Gagné with whom I do not hesitate to collaborate. In short, the more resources and a large network you have, the more opportunities you will have to develop even faster.

So my advice is to put in your mind that you should never stop learning (or progressing) through the training and help of your mentors. Lesson # 10: Failure is a good thing I end this article with my last apprenticeship and which is purely related to the state of mind that one must have as an entrepreneur. It’s about accepting to make mistakes and to be wrong. If I compare myself to the person I was 3 years ago, I find that I am much more inclined to make a decision quickly, test something and see if it will work. If it works, that’s great. If it doesn’t work, I would have made a mistake. I will have made a mistake and I will have learned something new.
